Photos I took during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, March and April of 2020, near Chicago and in southern Wisconsin. With little to do and nobody to see, I would often take my camera on walks and little drives to pass the time. The photos don’t show anything specific to the pandemic, but rather are meant to convey the quiet sadness of a world that had shut down. This page is posted over a year later. Things are looking much better now, but I haven’t forgotten how it felt when nobody knew what lay ahead.
